EARLY DETECTION AND PREVENTION OF CERVICAL CANCER

We invite you to take part in a cervical cancer screening test!

In 2023, we hope that the cervical cancer screening test will be taken by women who were born in 1959, 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994.

If you were born in one of the above-mentioned years, you do not need an invitation to attend a screening and you may certainly register for the test.

To register, call the Women’s Clinic Reception at 626 1314.

For further information about the test, see the website of the Health Insurance Fund.

You can see your test results on the website https://www.terviseportaal.ee/

If we see any changes in the analysis, we will refer you to a gynaecologist who will explain the finding. The gynaecologist will also perform an HPV test and refer you for a colposcopy (an advanced procedure to detect changes in the cervix), where if necessary a biopsy will be performed by collecting a piece of the cervical tissue.

Further treatment will be decided upon after we have received all of the test results.
