RAPID TEST FOR HIV

An HIV rapid test can also be done in the youth counselling centre. Testing is anonymous and free of charge and only takes a few minutes.

Pre-registration for HIV rapid test is not necessary, testing is done in a live order. The result will be known within minutes.

Blood samples are taken from fingerstick. Rapid tests are as accurate as vein testing. However, for the rapid test to be reliable, at least 10-12 weeks must have passed from the infection.
